| Summary / Abstract (Note) | Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder.ADHD symptoms include a persistent pattern of inattention (disorganization, poor focus, forgetfulness), hyperactivity (restlessness, inability to sit still), and impulsivity (acting without thinking, interrupting others) that interferes with functioning. Symptoms often differ by age and gender, appearing as physical hyperactivity in children, while adults may experience more internal restlessness and inattentiveness.
